Jerry Lamar Plunkett

March 12, 1955 — April 9, 2022

Jerry Lamar Plunkett, 67, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the Winona Manor Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Jerry was Born on March 12, 1955 in Kosciusko, MS to Marvin and Lyndol Plunkett. Jerry worked as a trucker for over 30 years, mostly with Pinkard Trucking. After his trucking career ended he helped at Thomas Auctions with equipment auctions. Both of these were jobs he loved. Anyone who knew Jerry will always remember his infectious laugh, Jerry was a member of Williamsville Baptist Church, where he came to know the Lord as his savior. Jerry is survived by his father, Marvin Plunkett; brothers, David Plunkett (JoAnn) and Danny Plunkett (Anne); nieces, Jency Plunkett Hill (Tyler) and Sarah Plunkett Hosea (Ethan); nephews, Dr. Todd Plunkett (RaShel), Charlie Plunkett (Brittney), and Eddie Plunkett (fiancé, Kaitlyn); great-nieces, Layla Hill, Ashlyn Hill, Kendall Plunkett, and Lyn Hosea; great-nephew, Kaleb Plunkett. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lyndol Plunkett. Jerry’s family would like to thank The Pinkard and Thomas families for loving Jerry and making him a part of your family. Visitation will be Monday, April 11, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 10:00 am at Parkway cemetery in Kosciusko with Bro. Todd Plunkett officiating. Pallbearers will be Charlie Plunkett, Eddie Plunkett, Ethan Hosea, Tyler Hill, Tim Pinkard, and Patrick Thomas. Honorary Pallbearers are Charles Pinkard and Tony Thomas. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Gideons International.
