Ethel, MS Reverend Jerry Barrett age 72, passed this life February 3, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center – Attala in Kosciusko. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday February 5th at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Carson Ridge Cemetery. Visitation, 5-8 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Jordan Funeral Home. Reverend Donald Self Officiating. Brother Jerry was a retired Minister and Member of Second Baptist Church, Mason; Member of the Trinity Lodge #88. He spent most of his life in Ethel, Former Mayor of Ethel, MS and managed the Hannah Heights Apartments in Ethel, MS. He was also a Vietnam Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 45 years,Carol W. Barrett of Ethel, Daughters: Stephanie Ornsbey and her husband Wayne of Zama, MS, Susanne Steed and her husband Garry and Son: Steven Barrett and his wife Karen both of Ethel and one Sister Florence Jones of Kosciusko, MS. He is also survived by a host of Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by his Parents: Edward Holmes and Nina Kyte Barrett and Brothers: Jackie Barrett and Ned "Terry" Barrett. Active pallbearers will be Cody Ornsbey, Jason "Big E" Engle, Larry Wheeless, Thomas Henry, Phillip Moore, Dennis Clanton, Scott Walters, Mike Barrett,Jeff Barrett and Allen Burkes. Honorary pallbearers: Brandon Barrett, Bradley Barrett, Braxton Barrett, Steven Steed, Garry Steed, Wayne Ornsbey and Bucky Wheeless and Robert Lee Barksdale.
