It is with saddened hearts that we now celebrate the life of our precious mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who passed away on April 19, 2025. Jean Carol was loved and adored by her large family and friends. She was born on February 11,1946, the 7th child of the late Alzie and Bessie Williams. She has now joined her parents, 5 brothers (Jim Crawley, Caleston Odean, Andrew Payton, Flemzo Sallis and Roger Wilson “RW”) and her only beloved sister (Janice Comfort) in Heaven to complete their family circle. What a reunion that was to hug her own mother after 59 years. She is also preceded in death by her first grandson ~ Robert Anthony “Tony” Crosby.

Mama~ Maw Maw Jean is survived by her four children ~ Melinda Meacham, Lisa (Stan) Daniels, Wendy ( Jesse ) Crosby and Donnie (Rhonda) Cooper. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren~ Shane (Cari) Clausen, Karly (Scott) Errington, Kayla (Jason) Vance, Kelly (Chris) Kelley, Kasey Crosby, Jett Crosby, Emma Crosby and Walt Cooper as well as 21 great grandchildren. She leaves behind many adored nieces and nephews and her childhood friends Ruby Helton and Barbara Dickerson.

Services are being held at Jordan Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 12 noon with visitation prior from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Parkway Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her parents and one brother. Brother Mike Barrentine will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ethan McNatt, Jett Crosby, Walt Cooper, Chris Kelley, Jason Vance, and Scott Errington. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Williams, Colton Crosby, Josh Johnson, Shane Clausen, Mike Forrest, and Mark Seymour.
