Jane Reed

Jane Reed, 73, of Kosciusko, Mississippi passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Attala County Nursing Center surrounded by her family. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Unity Cemetery. Rev. David Cain will officiate the services. 

Jane was born on April 26, 1951, to Jim Harvey Edwards and Maxine McNeer Edwards in Attala County, Mississippi. She was a member of First Baptist Church Kosciusko. Jane worked as a factory worker and assistant teacher at Lower and Middle Elementary in Kosciusko School District. She retired from the State of Mississippi in the Family and Children’s Services. 

Jane is survived by her husband, Wayne Reed of Kosciusko, Mississippi; son, Jeff (Amy) Reed of Kosciusko, Mississippi; daughter, Jennifer (Derrik) Boland of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Cole Reed, Jake Reed, Colton Crosby, Jessa Crosby, and Kipton Kyle; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Reed, Jude Reed, and Braelynn Reed; mother, Maxine Edwards of West, Mississippi; sisters, Sue Pritchard of Durant, Mississippi, Shelia (James) Taylor of Ethel, Mississippi, and Judy (Dale) McPeters of Midland, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Edwards, and sons-in-law, Tony Crosby and Colby Kyle. 

Serving as pallbearers are Cole Reed, Jake Reed, Colton Crosby, Kipton Kyle, Bubba Hodge, and Robby Horne.
