James I. Moore

James Ivan Moore, 84, of Kosciusko passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at his residence. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2022 at Parkway Cemetery. Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. at Jordan Funeral Home. Rev. Jamie Moore will be ministering. Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. James was born January 26, 1938 to James Durward Moore and Connie Louise Jenkins Moore. He was a member of Williamsville Baptist Church and the Jimmy Williamson Sunday School class. He was retired from construction. James is survived by his wife of 62 years Margie Steen Moore of Kosciusko, MS; son Rev. Jamie Moore of Water Valley, MS; brothers George (Sylvia) Moore of Carthage, MS and Tony (Linda) Moore of Madison, MS; sisters Melba Washington of Cleveland, MS and Dorothy (Danny) Moore of Port Arthur, TX; grandchildren Jay Moore of Kosciusko, MS and Paige Moore of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents James Durward Moore and Connie Louise Jenkins Moore; and a sister, Linda Gulley. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Moore, Jay Gulley, Scott Steen, Bernie Steen, Shane Steen, Breck Riley, Clint Howard, and Jonathan LeMasters. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude children’s Research Hospital.
