Ibbie Rone Smith

Ibbie Rone Smith, 94, of Ethel, MS passed away peacefully on April 20, 2022, at her residence. Visitation is 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Tabernacle Cemetery. Rev. Glenn Jackson will officiate. Mrs. Smith was a clerk for the Mississippi State Department of Health. She was a member of Ethel Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Mark M. Smith, and his fiancé, Brenda Jarriel of Ethel; one brother, George Rone of Senatobia; three sisters, Nina Hart of Pearl, Frances Lester of Kosciusko, and Minnie Alice Rone of Ethel; four grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Hansford Smith; parents, John Thomas Rone and Mary Theora Oliver Rone; and daughter, Carol Montgomery. Serving as pallbearers will be Wade Purvis, Brian Rone, Zack Rone, Novice Adams, and David Hart. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Ethel Baptist Church.
