Howard Calvin Hunt Niagara Falls, NY, Philadelphia and Kosciusko, MS Howard Calvin Hunt, 89, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Clinton Health Care in Clinton. Visitation will be 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Mary Ricks Thornton Cultural Center, the former First Presbyterian Church, in Kosciusko. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cultural Center with burial in the Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Jason Westmoreland will officiate. Mr. Hunt was born and grew up in Niagara Falls, New York. He served in the United States Navy from 1948-1950, meeting his wife Wilda while stationed in Memphis. He worked as an industrial engineer at Sheller-Globe in Kosciusko and later, for Yate's Construction Company in Philadelphia, MS. He was a member of the Lion's Club in Kosciusko. He was a member of Kosciusko First Presbyterian Church until he moved to Philadelphia in 1979. There, he was a member of Philadelphia First Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. In later years, he moved to Forest, MS where he was a member of the Forest Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons, Jimmy (Cindy) Hunt of Flowood and Ricky (Donna) Hunt of Forest; and one daughter, Jacque (Joe) Huffman of Raymond. He is survived by nine grandchildren: Jamie Hunt, Stephen Hunt, Lindsey Hunt, Jason Westmoreland, Holly Huffman McLeod, Matt Huffman, Lauren Hunt Lunati, Leslie Hunt Gunn, and Geoffrey Hunt; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilda Hunt; parents, Barney Richard Hunt and Marion Clark Hunt; and two brothers, Robert Hunt and Richard Hunt. Pallbearers will be Matt Huffman, Geoffrey Hunt, Jordan Gunn, Jonathan Lunati, Ken Rawson, and Gary Rawson. Online condolences can be made at jordanfuneralhome.com.
