Henry Thomas "Tee Model" Green

Funeral services for Henry Thomas "Tee" Green, 90, of Kosciusko, will be held Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. He died May 19, 2018, at his residence following a short illness. He was a native of Attala County, son of the late Henry Thomas Green Sr. and Gladys Shearer Green. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was retired having worked at Superior Coach Corp. in Kosciusko and for Comet Coach in Blytheville, AR for a number of years before returning to Kosciusko where he was employed with Atwood Fence Co. He enjoyed hunting, also attending and supporting a number a baseball and football teams, more especially Mississippi State. He was a member of the "Thursday Bunch," a group of friends and former athletes and coaches who meet weekly. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Elizabeth Chandler Green; a son, Derrell (Lisa) Green of Athens, AL; a daughter, Marsha (Jerry) Taylor of Gallatin, TN; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Ann) Green of Alamogordo, NM and Lester (Charlene) Green of Kosciusko; sisters, Maryella (Ladell) Blanton, Carolyn (Tommy) Prewitt, Melba Meggs, Beverly Hancock, all of Kosciusko, Sherry (Jerry) Henley of Ethel, Joyce Eades of Georgetown, TX, Brenda (Dorsey) Morrow of Montgomery, AL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles and sisters, Ruby Barranco and Faye Davis. Rev. Dan Baggett, Rev. James Jackson and Dr. Ladell Blanton will officiate. Serving as pallbearers are Heath Taylor, Gary Lynn Toten, Robert McAdams, Hayden Chandler, Jason Armstrong and Bob Lumley. Honorary pallbearers are Kyle Armstrong and Edwin Albin. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Heart Association.
