Henry Gordon Williams

Henry Gordon "Son" Williams, 88, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at his residence. He was a retired Electrical Engineer with Sheller-Globe (Atapco), Farmer and a member of Thomastown Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Director. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Williams of Thomastown, MS; daughters, Janet Williams Scrivner and her husband, Bob of Carthage, MS and Susanne Townsend and her husband, Danny of West, MS; son: Joe Williams and his wife, Kathy of West Point, MS; seven grandchildren, Justin Scrivner, Shelly Scrivner, Brian Townsend, Lori Winters, Joseph Atkinson, Carson Williams and She' Duncan; twelve great-grandchildren; and sisters, Martha Lynn Orr of Knoxville, TN and Mary Richards and husband, Dick of Kosciusko. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Irvin Williams and Lucille Shearer Williams; infant son, Henry Paul Williams; sisters, Ruth Chipley and Betty Taylor; and brother, Kelly Williams. Pallbearers are Joseph Lovorn, Randy Triplett, Scott Moore, David Shelley, Jacob Shelley, and Matt Crittenden. Honorary pallbearers are Anthony Moore, Lamar Townsend, Floyd McGee, Dick Richards, Johnny Williams, Dr. Jackey Turner, and Dr. Thomas Carter. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
