Hellen Hutchison Gables

Hellen Hutchison Gables, 87, of Bolivar, TN, died Saturday, May 24, 2014. Funeral services were 12 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Johnny Parks officiated. Mrs. Gables was born Jan. 11, 1927, in Attala County, to John Kenneth and Eva Pearl Nowell. She owned and operated her own beauty salon, in Kosciusko, for many years. She was very active in the missions of Middleton Baptist Church, in Middleton, TN, and sang in the choir there. Those surviving her are her grandchildren; Christy Miller Hummel, of Fairhope, AL, Katriana Hutchison, of Denver, CO, April Autumn Miller, of Grenada, and Derek McGuire, of Madison; great-grandchildren, Shelly Arendale, Nicole Arendale, Corey Arendale, and Anna Grace Ridell; and her sister-in-law, Jeannette Nowell. Mrs. Gables was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, William G. "Bill" Hutchison; children, George William Hutchison, Vickie Denise Hutchison Miller, and Kelly Keith Hutchison. Pallbearers were Eric Adcock, Roy Goss, Jr., Bill McKnight, Gary Nowell and Bubba Pinkard, Cliff Townsend.
