Helen E. Rutherford Kosciusko Helen Edwards Rutherford , 85, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Attala County Nursing Center in Kosciusko. Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 at Shiloh Methodist Protestant Church. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 at the church with burial to follow in the Salem Cemetery. Rev. Billy Frazure will officiate. She was a member of the Shiloh Methodist Protestant Church and Women's Missionary Society. She was also a member of the Shiloh Quilting Society. Survivors include her sons, Alan Stuart Rutherford of Sallis and Billy F. (Roberta) Rutherford of Kosciusko; daughters, Mary Helen Douglas of Lumberton; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; four step great-great grandchildren; sisters, Marie Wittlief of Sallis and Frances Richmond; numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Frank Rutherford, Sr.; son, Michael Lynn Rutherford; one grandson, Rodney Ray Rutherford; parents, James Whitman Edwards, Sr. and Mavis Irene Veazey Rutherford; and her brothers, Dewitt Edwards, L. E. Edwards, James Edwards, and Whitman Edwards, Jr. Pallbearers are Eddie Rutherford, Jr., Ray Edwards, Ronald Rutherford, Jr., Johnny Barber, Bruce Brown, Roger Joe Edwards, Tommy Wittlief, Corey Barber, Christopher Brown, and Austin Brown.
