Hazel Howard Bozone, 95, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Bitterroot Living Center in Stevensville, MT, where she had resided in recent years. Hazel was born November 2, 1918 in Ludlow, MS to Archie and Beulah Bowling Howard. She graduated from Good Hope High School and attended Mississippi Southern University. She retired in 1990 after 30 years as secretary to the Kosciusko High School principal. She was a longtime resident of Kosciusko, where she attended First Baptist Church. From 2000 to 2010, she resided at Heritage House Retirement Center in Brandon, where she attended Castlewoods Baptist Church. Hazel is survived by her son, David Bozone, Jr. and wife, Linda of Brandon; her daughter, Diane Adams and her husband, John of Victor, MT; seven grandchildren, Martin Bozone (Jill) of Atlanta, Bob Bozone (Lynn) of Braxton, Leta Bryan (Chris) of Ridgeland, Daniel Bozone (Meagan) of Purvis, Joseph Bozone (Teresa) of Tillatoba, Jonathan Adams of Portland, OR, and Zachary Adams (Andrea) of Sunland, CA; five great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, David E. Bozone, Sr.; sister, Esther Howard Mills (Tom) of Kosciusko and Jackson; and a brother, Austin Howard of Carthage. Visitation will be Friday, March 14 form 9-11 a.m. with her service immediately following at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko with burial to follow in the Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Barry Corbett will officiate.
