Geraldine Ray Russell

Geraldine Ray Russell, a homemaker of 61 years, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Attala County Nursing Center. Funeral services will be Monday, December 1, 2014 at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Derrick Wilson and Reverend Walter Hines officiating with burial in Parkway Cemetery. She was a longtime member of Parkway Baptist Church, where she for a number of years, worked in the nursery and sang in the sanctuary choir. She enjoyed painting in oil and acrylics for quite a number of years until her Parkinson's disease cause her to give that up. She had a number of bird houses in her backyard that she enjoyed and especially watching the hummingbirds. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Marcie and Kermit Ray. She is survived by her husband, Bernard; daughter Debra (Mike) Horn; grandson, Brett Russell (Courtney) Dyess; great- grandson, Rhys Russell Dyess. Active Pallbearers: Alton Taylor, George Patton, Bill McKnight, Jack Ellington, Billy Tolleson, Les Clark, and Allen Massey. Memorials may be made to Parkway Baptist Church.
