Gerald "Joe" Jones

Mr. Gerald "Joe" Jones 69, of Sallis, MS died Friday, June 19, 2020 at his residence in Sallis. Visitation will be Monday, June 22, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Shiloh Methodist Protestant Church. Service is at noon with Reverend Billy Frazure officiating and burial to follow at Shiloh Cemetery. Mr. Jones was a self-employed cattle farmer and member of the Shiloh Methodist Protestant Church. He was a also Commissioner of the Attala County Soil and Water Conservation board. He was a former owner of a textile company and was a 16 year employee of Allied Rehabilitation. Survivors include his wife Velma Jones, Sallis, MS, two daughters: Valerie (Marc) Lepard of Kosciusko, MS and Cheryl (Stephen) Cooper of Brandon, MS and two sons: Bradley (Jordan) Jones of Madison, MS and Stacy (Caroline) Jones of Davis, CA. Five grandchildren: Colby Cooper, Alexis Lepard, Breanna Cooper, Kirsten Lepard and Brooks Jones. Joe is also survived by his Aunt Dorothy Bell Harmon. He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh Gerald and Eva Dee Brown Jones. Active Pallbearers:Jeff Johnson, Dean Mullen, Jeff Jones, Kevin Holt, Michael Smith, Cecil Barber.
