George Victor Swanson

Mr. Swanson was born Feb. 10, 1934, in New York, to Charles and Mary Swanson. He retired after twenty-two years of faithful service in the United States Navy. He was then a Navy ROTC instructor and received honors of recognition for being a successful recruiter for the navy. Mr. Swanson was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canton. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie S. Moore and Linda S. Woods, both of Carthage; two grandsons, Brandon Moore and Caleb Woods, both of Carthage; a brother and two sisters. Mr. Swanson was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Emma Ruth Swanson; three brothers and four sisters. Pallbearers are Brandon Moore, Caleb Woods, Jason Rawson, Brian Turner, Ricky Turner and Todd Turner.
