Charles Frank “Frankie” Lacey, Entrepreneur, Devoted Husband, and Loving Father, dies at 54.

Charles Frank Lacey, affectionately known as Frankie, an entrepreneur, devoted husband, and loving father, died on April 9, 2025, in Ackerman, Mississippi. He was 54. Born on August 22, 1970, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, he was the son of Dr. Charles Frank Lacey and Mildred Loette Russell Lacey.

A lifelong entrepreneur, Frankie owned and operated TAPS Video, and was in business for more than 35 years. He was passionate about his work and remained committed to it throughout his life. Known for his gregarious nature, wry humor, and relentless drive, he brought a bold and memorable presence to everything he did. He was also a member of Crestview Methodist Church, where he valued connection, faith, and community.

Above all, he loved his family deeply and was fiercely proud of his wife and children.

Frankie raised his son and daughter as a single father, setting aside much for their well-being. His resilience and work ethic shaped their lives. He found joy in gathering with family and friends, taking his Harley out, and working out at the gym with lifelong companions. He never met a stranger—and he loved every cat he ever had.

He is survived by his wife, Kristen Lacey; his children, Chandler Lacey (Tori) and Chloe Elrod (Jacob); stepchildren, Matthew Keller, Aubrey McCaleb, and Kolleen McCaleb; and his brothers, Tim Poole and Michael Poole (Barbara). He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Charles Frank Lacey and Mildred Loette Russell Lacey, and his sister, Jan Hutchinson.

A visitation will be held Monday, April 14, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Parkway Cemetery.

By his side once more, these loved ones will carry him home: Chandler Lacey, Tim Poole, Shea Poole, James Murphy, Stacy Cockrell, Mathew Keller, and Glen Lepard as Honorary pallbearer.
