Fannie Belle Cummins

Fannie Belle Mullen Cummins passed away, at the age of 88, at home with family in Ethel, MS on July 11, 2021. She was born in Todd County, Kentucky on April 19, 1933. A member of Gautier first Baptist Church since 1965, where she actively served her Lord until unable due to health. A mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. A daughter, sister, an aunt, and friend. She held many titles, but to the ones closest to her she was Fannie Belle, Mama and Granny. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin Mullen and Willie Belle Wheeler Mullen; husband of 57 years, Mayron Isaac Cummins, Jr. ; a son Elvin Buchannon Cummins ; sisters Margie McGee and Bobbie Cherry ; brothers Junior Mullen and James Paul Mullen. She is survived by her brother Alfred Mullen of Hopkinsville, KY ; 6 daughters Anna Burns (Mickey) of Ethel, MS , Vicky Syfrett (Ron) of Cottondale, FL , Janie Steele (Rick) of Gautier, MS , Mona Cummins of Gautier, MS , Jerri Rainey (Terry) of Denton, TX , Rose Ann Nicholson (Mark) of Dallas, GA . She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren. 20 great-grandchildren and 1 Great-Great- Grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews. Her Burial will be in the Biloxi National Cemetery at a later date, where her husband was previous placed to rest. Instead of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in her name to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
