Emmette Ernest Armstrong, 78, passed away on Sunday June 3, 2018. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6 in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the North Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Kilmichael, MS. Al Franks and Greg Ledbetter will officiate. He was born December 19, 1939 in Sallis, MS. He attended the Kosciusko Church of Christ, where he preached when there was a need to a local congregation. He served thirty-five years in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion, the Disabled Veterans of America, and the VFW. He loved to fish and talk about fishing. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Burrell Armstrong of Sallis; daughters, DeAnna Pickle (Jimmy) of McAdams, Susan Lantzer (Fritz) of Beech Grove, IN, Joy Magness (James) of Coldwater, MS, Jennifer Childress (Brian) of Hernando, MS, Molly Rocco (Robert) of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Jessica Adams, Justin Williams, Blake Bailey, Molly Bailey, Chyna Myers, Ava Lantzer, Samantha Magness, James Eli Magness, Alexa Childress, Piper Childress, Lora Grisham, and Aidan Rocco; great-grandchildren, Connor, Ashton, Autumn, Ray and Henry; and sister, Sybil Armstrong of Hirakato, Osaka, Japan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude L. and Alta Hodges Armstrong; three brothers, Gerald, Marvin and James; and a sister, Claudine Armstrong. Pallbearers will be Mac Burrell, Blake Bailey, James Eli Magness, Connor Adams, Ashton Armstrong, and Aidan Rocco.
