Emily Holt Harrelson Morris went home to her Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday August 24, 2014 after a long battle with COPD, emphysema and breast cancer. She was born, 07-25-1939 in Attala County, and reared in Kosciusko. After her marriage, she traveled extensively with her husband who was in the military. They returned to Mississippi and she was employed by the Bell Telephone Company for many years, and later served with the Kosciusko Police Department. She retired from Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in 2005 as the switchboard operator. She is survived by her sons, Gary L. Barnes, who resides in Thomastown, MS, and Joseph M. Harrelson, who resides in Sonora CA, grandchildren: Matthew Philip Barnes, resides in Newton Miss, CPT Richard C. Harrelson, III, US Army, Sgt William T Harrelson USMC and James Harrelson of Jacksonville, FL, great grandchildren, Richie, Hunter, James, Benji & Alex Harrelson & Emily Barnes, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Milson V. Morris (Moe), and 2 sons, Richard C. Harrelson, Jr. and John F. Harrelson. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday Sept 10, 2014, 10 am in Kosciusko, MS, at Parkway Cemetery, Jordan Funeral Home in charge.
