Emery Wayple Moore

Mr. Moore was born April 10, 1927, in Leake County to Cecil and Carmen Moore. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, and retired after 40 years as a lineman with Mississippi Power & Light. He was a member of Rocky Point Baptist Church, the VFW, enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and was a good domino player. He is survived by his wife, Virginia S. Moore; daughters, Sherry M. Hopper, of Lake Village, AR; Dawn M. Hagewood, of Columbus; grandchildren, Rainier Hagewood, Chris Stauddy, James Stauddy, Joseph Hopper, Josh Hopper, McCall Moore, Brandon Yeager, Landon Sanders and Paxton Tharp; and ten great-grandchildren. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Stan Moore; and a brother, Jerry Moore. Pallbearers were Rainier Hagewood, Chris Stauddy, Jim Pickle, Gregg Moore, Jason Moore and Michael Moore. Memorials may be sent to the Rocky Point Baptist Church Building Fund.
