Effie Mae Dixon Myrick, 88, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation is from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, February 21 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are 11 a.m. in the chapel with burial to follow in the Parkway cemetery. Rev. Barry Corbett will officiate. She was born July 26, 1926 in Columbus, MS. She was a member of the Kosciusko First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her sons, Dwight Myrick and his wife, Melanie of Kosciusko and Michael Myrick and his wife, Paula of Canton; grandchildren, Casey Myrick of Madison, Chris Myrick of Madison, Dillon Myrick of Kosciusko, Corrie Ramage of Kosciusko, Kendyl Smith of Brandon, Lacy Dodd of Taylor, Kevin Huff of Brandon, and Keith Huff of Brandon; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; Ray Myrick; and son, Steve Myrick. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Casey Myrick, Chris Myrick, and Dillon Myrick, nephew, Bud Moore, great nephew, Ronald Moore, and great grandson, Mitchell Huff. Memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church Television Ministry.
