Edna Ferguson Sims, 98, of Zama Community passed away May 9, 2023, at Community Place Nursing Home in Brandon, Mississippi. Visitation is 10:00 a.m. until 10: 45 a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 11: 00 a.m. at Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Mark Parnell will officiate.
Edna was born April 17, 1925, to Jesse James Ferguson and Katherine Waller Ferguson in Mississippi. She graduated from Zama High School in Zama, Mississippi. Edna was a member of First Baptist Church Kosciusko and a retired as a clerk from Patterson Drug Store in Kosciusko, Mississippi.
Edna is survived by her son James Sims of Flowood, Mississippi; daughter Ava Sims Day of Brandon, Mississippi; and grandsons Michael and James Day.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jesse James Ferguson and Katherine Waller Ferguson, husband James Morris Sims, Sr., twin sister Sue Sims Mims, and sister Johnnie Dunn.
