Eddye Dolores Bell Burns

Eddye Dolores Bell Burns, 77, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 7 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Carson Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Ladell Blanton and Rev. Grover Laird will officiate. Mrs. Burns church membership began at Ebenezer Baptist Church near Zama, MS and then First Baptist Church of Kosciusko. After her marriage to David, they moved to Jackson , she was a member of Byram Baptist Church. Lastly, she attended Creston Hills Baptist Church. She became devoted to the television ministry of Jackson's First Baptist Church and Dr. Charles Stanley's early morning services after her disability hindered church attendance. Survivors include her son, John David Burns, II; grandson, John David Burns, III; brothers, Jerry Van Bell and Ralph Boyette Bell, and his wife, Connie. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John David Burns; parents, James Van and Edith Boyette Bell; and brothers, James Terry Bell and Charles Boyd Bell.
