Doris Young

Doris Harkins Young, 90, of Kosciusko, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. Visitation is from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2024, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 9:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Thomastown Baptist Cemetery. Officiating is Rev. James Young.

Doris was born January 3, 1934, to Peter Fountain Harkins and Gussie McMillan Harkins in Thomastown, Mississippi. She was a housewife and loved by family and friends. Doris was a member of Thomastown Baptist Church.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Gail (Jeff) Montgomery of Vicksburg, Mississippi; daughter-in-law, Linda Young; grandchildren, Molly Luke, Aubrey Luke, Jeffrey (Maggie) Gough, and Trevor Young; great-grandchildren, Kensley Griffin, Bain Gough, and Carver Gough; sister, Zebbie Myrick of Georgia; and 2 nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Fountain Harkins and Gussie McMillan Harkins, husband, Roy Bain Young, and son, Ronnie Young.

Serving as pallbearers are Michael Harried, Trevor Young, Aubrey Luke, Andy Terry, Jeff Montgomery, and David Shelley.

Memorials may be sent to the Thomastown Baptist Church  or Thomastown Baptist Cemetery.
