Deborah Louise Parker Roberts

Deborah "Debbie" Louise Parker Roberts, 57, died Saturday, January 25, 2014 at her home. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Kosciusko. Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Rev. Mary Berry will officiate. She was born and raised in Starkville, MS. She attended and graduated from Starkville High School where she made lifelong friends. She then attended Mississippi State University and the University of Mississippi, from which she graduated from the School of Pharmacy Class of 1979. During her career as a pharmacist she lived and worked in Kosciusko, where she became a valuable member of her community. She was a member of the St. Matthews Episcopal Church. She will be remembered as being an avid animal lover and a dedicated mother, friend and pharmacist. Survivors include: husband, William "Bill" Edwin Roberts, III; sons, John Richard Roberts and William James Worthy both of Kosciusko; daughter, Mary Alice Roberts of Kosciusko; brother, Robert Parker; and sister, Charlotte Tucker. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Hunter and Alice King Parker, both of Starkville. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Palmer Home in Starkville, the ASPCA, or St. Matthews Episcopal Church.
