Davis M. Thompson, Jr. Kosciusko Obituary for a Great Christian man Although there is sadness in our hearts, we celebrate the wonderful life of our dad, Davis Thompson. He went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the age of 81. We know Sharon Kay and Melisa were waiting on him with open arms! Davis was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend to all. Over the years, you may have met Davis at Scarborough's, at Sears, or maybe he helped you with a lawnmower repair. It was such a joy for him to serve the people of Attala County. We will always treasure our many memories and the valuable life lessons that he lived out before us. Davis faithfully served God in every aspect of his life. He has truly given us an example of how to live our lives. Since our dad had such a kind heart, we ask that you do an act of kindness for someone in his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents Dee & Mamie Thompson, 2 brothers, and 5 sisters, beloved wife Sharon Oden Thompson and his precious daughter, Melisa Gayle Matthews. Davis leaves behind a family that loved him dearly. Son, Steve Thompson and wife Paula; Son, Chad Thompson and wife Alysha; Son-In-Law, Gerald (Boo) Matthews; six grandchildren, Brittany, Katelin, Bailey Katherine, Eli, Mamie, and Aidan; one great grandson, Coen; Sisters Mae Bowie and family, Thelma Mitchell and family, Linda Rone and family, Jan McAdams and family. A special thank you to the VA staff for their loving care and support of dad over the last two years. Online condolences can be made at jordanfuneralhome.com.
