Datwin A. Dabbs, 52, of Kosciusko passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 1, at 2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Coleman Cemetery in McAdams. Rev. Junior Davis officiated. Visitation was held Tuesday, May 31, from 5-8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home. Dabbs, a native of Kosciusko was manager of Industrial Finance in Kosciusko. He had served on the Kosciusko Board of Aldermen, was a former member of the Exchange Club, the Lions Club and held membership at Williamsville Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and was a former president of the MSU Alumni Association. He is survived by his wife, Daphne Dabbs of Kosciusko; daughters, Amber Jones, Emily (Jude) Wilson, Casey Dabbs and Carrie (Demetrece) Haywood, all of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Noelle Riley, Anakin Adeshina, Cole, Eli, Noah, Ethan Wilson, Marleigh and Vera Dabbs, Aerisyn, Zaria, Sylas, Breese Haywood; a brother, Dexter (Eva Lynn) Dabbs, of Kosciusko. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Kerry (Matt) McAdams, Sam (Katie) Dabbs, Kim (Jerry) Spurgeon, Jody Thomason, Andrea (Jessie) Surrette. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Dexter Dabbs and Marilyn Lotz Dabbs. Pallbearers were Wes Breazeale, Charlie Plunkett, Eddie Plunkett, Jorge Manjarrez, Jessie Surrette, JodyThomason, Mike Barrentine and Rodney Smith. Memorials may be made to the MS Kidney Foundation, 3000 Old Canton Road #100, Jackson, MS 39216, specificying to be used in the Kosciusko area.
