Curtis Glenn "Buddy" Deason

Mr. Curtis Glenn "Buddy" Deason, Sr., 76, was born in Attala County, MS on July 2, 1940. He was surrounded by his three children and loved ones at the Baptist Medical Center-Attala in Kosciusko, where he went to his eternal home to rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 25, 2017. Visitation is from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, May 27 at Crestview Congregational Methodist Church in Kosciusko. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the church with burial in the Parkway Cemetery. Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Rev. Jerry Meggs and Rev. Billy Frazure will officiate. He was a member of Crestview Congregational Methodist Church. He was a lifetime resident of Attala County, where he grew up as a child on Aponaug Road. He attended grammar school at Aponaug, Ethel, and graduated from McAdams High School in 1959. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He worked as a welder at Sheller Globe until their closing; offshore with Rowan Companies, and retired from Morris Recycling in 2002. He is survived by his two daughters, Carla Boyles (Danny), Beth Hulett (Bobby), and a son, Curtis Glenn Deason, Jr. (Lorie); four grandchildren, Hayes Hulett (Alison), Hayden Hulett, Sarah Elizabeth Odom, Lilia Karis Deason; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Odom, Noah Odom, and William "Will" Hulett; three sisters, Shirley Keen, Claudette Ford, and Carol Ann Brady; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Snell Deason; parents, Joseph Clifton and Eulala Jenkins Deason; sister, Genelle Parker; two brothers, Robert Deason and Joseph "Junior" Deason. Pallbearers are Tim Deason, Jan Deason, Steve Deason, Joey Deason, Mike Deason, Anthony Ford, Ronnie Vowell, and David Keen. Honorary pallbearers are Percy Ellington, Robert Allen, David Collins, Bobby Rawson, Horace Tavares, and Ed Cobb. Memorials may be made to Crestview Congregational Methodist Building Fund.
