Colleen Hutchison

Colleen Hutchison, 92, of Newport Community passed away Friday, July 22, 2022 at her residence. Visitation is 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Salem Church. Funeral service is 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Salem Church. Burial will follow at McClain Cemetery. Rev. Jeremy Grantham and Rev. Gene Richardson will be officiating. Colleen was a member of Salem Church in the Newport Community. She enjoyed quilting, working in her flower garden, visiting with all of her grands and great-grands. She had worked at Garan, Universal, and Atkins Cucumber Stand. Colleen is survived by sons Melvin Hutchison of Quitman, MS, David (Linda) Hutchison of Newport, MS, and Don (Jenny) Hutchison of Newport, MS; daughter Kay (Hubert) Robertson of Newport, MS; grandchildren Dawn Early, Tiffany Box, Jeffery Hutchison, Charlie Hutchison, Leigh Ann Stringer, Donna Jolley, Blake Hutchison, and Regan Carpenter;16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bailey Hutchison; Parents Eddie Guyton Morgan and Lela (Payne) Morgan; granddaughter Pam Hutchison; daughter-in-law Glenda Hutchison; sisters Mary Jenkins, Sarah Blailock, Peggy Acey, and Shirley Hodges; brother Joseph Morgan and James Morgan. Serving as pallbearers is grandchildren and great-grandchildren Jeffery Hutchison, Charlie Hutchison, Blake Hutchison, Zach Early, Hunter Hutchison, Keegan Hutchison, Maeson Jolley, and Wes Jolley. Serving as honorary pallbearers Ty Hutchison, Colston Carpenter, John Luke Stringer, Austin Fortin, and Connor Fortin.
