Colby Maddox

Colby Allen Maddox, 19, of Philadelphia, Mississippi passed away March 22, 2023. Visitation is 12:00 p.m. until 1: 30 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home. Graveside service is 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, at New Hope Cemetery. Rev. Donald Self will officiate.

Colby was born May 30, 2003, to Jason Maddox and Misty Maddox. He graduated from Neshoba Central High School in 2022 and was in the R.O.T.C. program there. He was a student. As he was growing up, he attended Bethesda Baptist Church in Terry, Mississippi, and Bond Baptist Church in Neshoba County.  He loved to fish in the pond next to his house, and enjoyed bowling with his family.

Colby is survived by his mother Misty Gravette Maddox of Montfort, AL; father Jason Maddox of Philadelphia, Mississippi; paternal grandmother Bobbie Coleman of Kosciusko, Mississippi; sister Samantha Maddox of Philadelphia, Mississippi; aunt Bobbie (Steve) Huey of Terry, Mississippi; uncles Billy (Tammy) Proctor of Brandon, Mississippi, Chuck (Glenda) Sanders of Kosciusko, Mississippi, James (DeDe) Sanders of Louisville, Mississippi, and Perry Maddox of PA; nephew Axel Maddox; and numerous other aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather John Maddox, and Uncle Richard Proctor.

Serving as pallbearers is Bill Proctor, Joseph Dickerson, Ben Huey, David Phillips, Lucas Phillips, and Tanner Huey.
