Claudette Deason Ford

Claudette Deason Ford, 83, of Kosciusko, MS passed away September 6, 2022, at the Attala County Nursing Center. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Crestview Congregational Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Crestview Congregational Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Meggs will officiate.


Claudette was born November 7, 1938, to Joseph Clifton Deason and Eulala Jenkins Deason in Attala County. She was a factory worker for Burke Shade and Interstate Industries. Claudette was a member of Crestview Congregational Methodist Church.


Claudette is survived by one son, Hugh Anthony Ford; one daughter, Claudia Gail Dawson; one sister, Carol Brady; five grandchildren, Christy (Thad) Ables, Shawn (Becky) Dawson, Rickie (Melody) Dawson, Chelsea (Zac) Hardin, and Dylan (Mary) Jenkins; eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Clifton Deason, and Eulala Jenkins Deason; husband, Huey P. Ford; brothers, Robert Deason, Curtis G. “Buddy” Deason, Joseph Deason, Jr.; sisters, Genelle Parker, and Shirley Keen.


Serving as pallbearers are Rickie Dawson, Shawn Dawson, Mark Ables, Dylan Jenkins, Tanner Dawson, and Zac Hardin.
