Charlotte Marie Thornton Campbell Kosciusko Charlotte Marie Thornton Campbell, 101, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Vaiden Community Living Center in Vaiden, MS. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, October 17 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 17 in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Phillip Palmertree and Rev. Scott Wright will officiate. She was the oldest living member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also a former Sunday school teacher and active with the youth program. She was a former owner/operator of Campbell's Motel and Days Inn. She was a member of the Coffee Club with Noni Jordan, Lillian Jordan, and Juanita Green. She was skilled with sewing and tatting; and made crosses to give to her friends. Survivors include her sons, Kermit (Carolyn) Campbell of Kosciusko and Bobby W. Campbell of Delta, CO; grandchildren, Scott (Lisa) Campbell of Brandon, Stephanie (Patrick) Jue of Austin, TX, Joel (Tara) Campbell of Berlin, MD, and Anna (Craig) Spearman of Montrose, CO; great-grandchildren, Braden Campbell, Conner Campbell, Ally Campbell, Hannah Campbell, Erin Jue, and Hazel Grace Spearman;and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.K. Campbell; parents, Robbie Jefferson and Maude Hearon Thornton; brother, Doyle Thornton. Pallbearers are Henry Jones, Bill Cullen, Mike Sills, Edwin Albin, Billy Tom Wasson and Vic Gressett. Memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church.
