Charles Clarence Wollfarth, 85, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko and 1-2 p.m. at Pierce Chapel. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 10 at Pierce Chapel with burial in Wollfarth Cemetery. Rev. Ron Thomas will officiate. He was a member of Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church on Highway 43 North. He was born in New Orleans, LA. He moved to West, MS and joined the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman in Korea. He attended Holmes Junior College, received a Bachelor's Degree from University of Southern Mississippi, and a Masters form Mississippi State University. He was married in 1958 to Edna Sykes. He taught school for twenty years and then retired from the United Postal Service. He was a volunteer at the Natchez Trace Visitor Center for about two years. He loved everything about life, including cooking barbeque and farming, but loved his family most of all. Survivors include his sons, John Hefner (Betsy) of Brandon and Charles Thomas Wollfarth (Samantha) of Kosciusko; daughters, Melanie Myrick (Dwight) of Kosciusko and Patty Green (David) of West; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Wollfarth; and his parents, Clarence "Tipp" and Leona Wollfarth. Pallbearers are Dillon Myrick, Steven Green, Charles Hefner, John Hefner, Brandan Wollfarth, and Colby Wollfarth. Memorials may be made to the Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church.
