Charlene Blaine, 77, of Ethel, Mississippi passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the Attala County Nursing Center. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2024, and from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Ebenezer Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Gentry officiating the services.
Charlene was born April 8, 1947, in Attala County to Charlie Dee Thrasher and Dorothy Grace Mangrum Thrasher. She was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for fifty years. Charlene was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Charlene is survived by her son, John Allen Blaine, II of Ethel, Mississippi; brother, Dobbin Thrasher of Ethel, Mississippi; sister, Judy Thompson of Ethel, Mississippi; grandchildren Xiannah Leonard, Alex Leonard, Larkin Gant, and Stephen Gant; host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie Dee Thrasher and Dorothy Grace Mangrum, her husband John Allen Blaine, Sr., and her brother Larry Bruce Thrasher.
Pat Hill, Darrell Dewayne Holly, Chris Triplett, Jamie Thompson, Randy Clark, and Dusty Leonard will be pallbearers.
