Carolyn Green Prewitt, 83, of Kosciusko, Mississippi passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at St. Dominic's Memorial Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 23, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Doyle Mitchell, and Leslie Collins will officiate the services.


Carolyn was born September 29, 1940, in Attala County, Mississippi to Henry Thomas Green, Sr. and Gladys Shearer Green. She was a homemaker.


Carolyn is survived by her husband, Tommy Prewitt of Kosciusko; daughters, Angela Prewitt Lacey of Kosciusko and Gena Prewitt Hill of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Tyler Schuster of Nebraska, Kylie Edwards of Kosciusko, Connor Hill of Kosciusko, and Walker Hill of Kosciusko; great-grandchild, Paxton Edwards; brothers, Raymond Green of New Mexico and Lester Green of Florida; sisters, Mary Ella Green Blanton of Kosciusko, Melba Green Meggs of Kosciusko, Sherry Green Henley of Ethel, Beverly Green Hancock of Florida, Joyce Green Eades of Texas, and Brenda Green Sharpe of Alabama; and a large number of nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Thomas Green, Sr. and Gladys Shearer Green; brothers, H.T. Green, Jr., and Charles Green; sisters, Ruby Green Baranco and Faye Green Davis.


Serving as pallbearers are Connor Hill, Walker Hill, Jacob Edwards, Mike Duran, Walker Yuille, Nolen Yuille, Ryan Rigby, and Cole McBride.


Memorials may be sent to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital.
