Bro. Ricky Summers

Bro. Ricky Summers, 66, of Kosciusko, Mississippi passed away at home Sunday, November 19, 2023. Visitation is 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral service is at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Greg Ballard, and Rev. Justin Davis will officiate.

Bro. Ricky was born December 5, 1956, in Mississippi to Delma Noel Summers and Minnie Nail Summers.

He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity from Great Plains Theological Seminary in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Bro. Ricky pastored at Hurricane Baptist Church (McAdams, MS), Berea Baptist Church (French Camp, MS), Old Pearl Valley Baptist Church (Philadelphia, MS), and Davis Road Baptist Church (Byram, MS). At his death, he was a member of Grace Covenant Church in Maben, MS. He was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Bro. Ricky was survived by his sons Steve Summers (Ashley) of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Mike Summers (Maegan) of Ackerman, Mississippi; brother Ronnie Summers (Sue) of Kosciusko, Mississippi; brother-in-law Henry Harman,

brother-in-law Sonny Moore; sister-in-law Shelia Summers of Winona, Mississippi; sister-in-law Betty (Paul) Self; grandchildren Gracie Summers, Isaac Summers, Gabriel Summers, James Summers, John Summers, and Joanna Summers; and dozens of cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Delma Summers and Minnie Nail Summers, wife Nan Summers, brothers David Summers and James Mark Summers.

Serving as pallbearers are William Chunn, Tim McCown, Brandon McCown, Ben Harman, Jody Harman, Joel Hill, Ronnie Summers, Robert Summers, Jared Everitt, Jessie Montgomery, Justin Summers, and Wes Durden.
