Brenda Skeen Robinson

Brenda Skeen Robinson, 75, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, September 7, 2023, in Kosciusko.

Brenda was born in Bolivar County, Mississippi, on May 8, 1948, along with her twin sister, Linda. They were inseparable best friends and walked through all of life’s highs and lows together.

In 1965, she married the love of her life, Leroy, and they later welcomed their only son, Stacy. During her working years, she had a successful career as a hairdresser. Even after formally retiring, she continued to do hair for loved ones and friends. When she wasn’t working, she loved traveling with her girlfriends and made many fond memories. Later in life, one of her favorite roles was being “Meme” to her only granddaughter, Meagan, who she referred to as her “Little Darlin.”

Brenda had a passion for cooking and enjoyed hosting loved ones in her home. She always dressed well and upheld a reputation for being stylish, even in her last years. But she will be remembered most for her generous spirit and spunky personality.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Robinson; parents, Earl and Molly Mae Skeen; brothers, Jack Skeen, Emmitt Skeen, Bill Skeen, and Roy Skeen; and sisters, Frances Cohea and Mavis Rhodes.

She is survived by her son, Stacy (Wanda) Robinson; granddaughter, Meagan (Ben) Parnell; sisters, Linda (Vernon) Moore, Sandra (Pat) Purvis, and Barbara Dickerson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko on Saturday, September 9 at 2:00 P.M.
