Boyd Bradford Thompson

Services for Boyd Bradford Thompson will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Cook and Rev. Derrick Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Parkway Cemetery. Mr. Thompson, 87, of Kosciusko died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home. Boyd and his wife would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Wednesday July 30, 2014. He was a 35 year employee of the Texas Eastern Corporation, retiring in 1986. Mr. Thompson was a charter member of The Parkway Baptist Church, a veteran of our armed services and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Mary Francis (Penny) Thompson, son Steve Thompson of Kosciusko, MS, son Tommy Thompson and his wife Cathy of North Prairie, WI, and son Kenneth Thompson of Amite, LA. Grandchildren, Amber Gray and husband Duncan of Oxford, MS grandsons Micah Thompson of Starkville, MS and Garrett Thompson of North Prairie, WI. Boyd was also blessed with three beautiful great grandchildren, Harper, Sadie and Miller Gray. Boyd was an avid fisherman, a wonderful husband, a great father and a kind and generous grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Rosie Thompson of Amory, MS as well as his two brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday August 1, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to The Parkway Baptist Church.
