Bobby Floyce Hester

Bobby Hester age 75, of Sallis, MS died peacefully on November 1st 2021, at his daughter’s home in Louisville, MS surrounded by his family. Visitation is Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Jordan Funeral Home 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral Services are at 1 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with Burial to follow at Seneasha Cemetery with Rev. Hubert Yates and Rev. Larry Harvey officiating. Bobby Floyce Hester was born July 29th 1946 in Kosciusko, MS to Floyce and Christine Amerson Hester. Bobby was the oldest of 4 children. Bobby was a devoted, loving husband with 54 years of marriage to Wyvis Burrell Hester. They have 3 children and 5 granddaughters. One of Bobby’s greatest joys was his children and grandchildren. Bobby is a retired truck driver. During his 39 years of driving he traveled to nearly every state in the US. Bobby was known as a kind, sweet, and friendly person. He was known to always wear a smile on his face or to be cracking a joke. He always made a friend wherever he went and would always help anyone in need. Bobby was known for his fighting spirit even through the struggles of Parkinson’s Disease and Lewy Body Dementia. Bobby was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Goodman, MS where he attended church regularly with his wife. Bobby is survived by his wife Wyvis Burrell Hester of Sallis, MS; son Robert Hester (Kim) of Seymour, TN; daughter Cindy Lucas (Doug) of Louisville, MS; two brothers Clifford Hester (Debbie) and Larry Hester of Carthage, MS; Grandchildren Brittany Lucas, Lauren Lucas, Katie Lucas, Kaylin Hester, and Kacy Hester. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyce and Christine Amerson Hester; son John R. Hester; and sister Bonnie Salers. Memorials may be sent to Seneasha Cemetery Fund or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
