Berlan Lee Newsome

Berlan Newsome, 91, of Kosciusko, MS passed away October 29, 2021 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with Burial to follow at Parkway Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, October 30 from 11 a.m. until the service at Jordan Funeral Home. He worked as a metal fabricator for 36 years as a sheet metal worker with Mitchell Metal. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Newsome is survived by one son, Lynn Newsome of Kosciusko, MS; one daughter, Gale Beckham (Lonnie) of Kosciusko, MS; one grandson, Justin McClelland (Kristin); three granddaughters, Tonya Craven (Zack), Samantha Anderson (Jason), and Harley Holland; seven great-grandchildren Alex, Weston, Baelynn, Klaytin, Brelynn, Charlene, and Addilynn. He also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Frances Greenlee Newsome; wife Letha; three brothers, Ervin, Bernice, and Bill; three sisters Becky, Mae, and Eunice. Serving as pallbearers will be Lonnie Beckham, Zack Craven, Jason Anderson, Alex Spangler, Paul Trollinger, Brandon Spears, Greg Beckham and Andrew Holifield.
