Bebe Clower Romine

Bebe Clower Romine, 88, entered her heavenly home on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday, July 23 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 23 in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Indianola City Cemetery. Rev. Barry Corbett will officiate. Mrs. Romine was born in 1929 in Sunflower, MS, to the late Sam and Pauline Clower. She made her home there until she relocated to Kosciusko in 1996. Her father delivered mail on horseback, and, following in his footsteps, she became one of the first women rural mail carriers in Mississippi. In 1948, she married her childhood sweetheart, and they were married 70 years. She was an active member of the Sunflower United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School until they moved and joined the Kosciusko First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Adult 1 Sunday School class. She loved attending her grandchildren's many activities and events. She also enjoyed playing bridge and having coffee with friends. She will be remembered by all for her vivacious personality and lively spirit. She is survived by her husband, John Romine, of Kosciusko; sons, Steve Romine (Jonelle) of Hot Springs Village, AR and Bert Romine (Julie Sterling) of Indianola; daughter, Donna Romine Myers (Marty) of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Doug Romine, Mary Morgan Tharp (Chris), Reece Myers (Jillian), Warner Myers (Meagan), and Mallory Gnade (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Anslee Tharp, Tucker Tharp, and Paxton Myers; sister, Julia Rose of Indianola. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin S. and Pauline Morgan Clower; brother, Ben Clower; sister, Faye Stevenson; and step-sister, Margie Coleman. Pallbearers will be her sons, Steve Romine and Bert Romine; her grandsons, Doug Romine, Reece Myers, and Warner Myers; and her son-in-law, Marty Myers.
