Archie G. Sowers

Archie Green Sowers, Jr, 86, died on Saturday February, 28, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to following the Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Rick Chambers will officiate. He was a veteran of World War II in the United States Army Airborne Paratrooper. He was also a previous member of the Moose Lodge. Survivors include wife, Rosa Sowers; daughter, Linda Holland and husband, Dennis of Abilene, KS; son, Richard Sowers and wife, Mary of Starkville; daughter, Karen Adams and husband, James of Brandon; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and brothers, Cliff Sowers of Berryton, KS and David Bruce Sowers of Klamath Falls, OR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Grace Sowers; and grandson, Stephen Adams.
