Annie Katherine Cagle Phillips, 83, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at her home with family by her side. Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6 in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Barry Corbett will officiate. She was born February 20, 1932 in the Nile Community to Mary Jane Culpepper Cagle and William Orborn Cagle. She married her husband of 63 years, Dalion Clarence Phillips on August 7, 1948. She worked with her husband in the home building business for many years. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping with friends, gardening, and many types of needlework. Family and faith were the center of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Kosciusko. Survivors include daughters, Glenda (John) Burk of Tupelo, Kay Moss of Biloxi, and Lisa (Chris) Doerig of Tupelo; grandchildren, Davis Burk, Ashley (Elliott) Davis, John Phillips (Danielle) Burk, Mary Grace Moss, and Anna (Anthony) Ware; great-grandchildren, Kaylie Grace Ware, Anne Cambria Burk, Nolan Earl Ware, Mary Katherine Burk, and Caroline Marie Burk; loving caretakers and friends, Louria Hawthorne, Dorothy Wright, and Ruth Griffin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Donald Cagle and Orborn Cagle; sister, Dean Lawrence; grandchildren, Melanie Kay Moss and Mary Cambria Burk. Pallbearers are Elliott Davis, Davis Burk, Johnny Burk, Billy Alderman, Jimmy Mullen, and Guy Gatlin. Memorials may be the Kosciusko First Baptist Church.
