Amy Lois Black Norris Hutchinson was born October 28, 1925 to the late Robert and Anna Black of Attala County, and she passed away peacefully Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the age of 91. At the time of death she was a resident of Plainview Assisted Living in Richland, Mississippi. Rev. James Ellis and Rev. Walter Hines will officiate. Amy was a long time resident of the McCool community, being active in Edgefield Baptist Church. She spent most of her life in her kitchen cooking delicious meals for her family, whom she loved very much. She was also a gardener and loved caring for her beautiful flowers. She was preceded in death by parents; her husbands, Hollis Norris and Charles Hutchinson; and an infant son. Amy is survived by two sons, Roy Norris (Jo) of Pearl, MS, Harry Norris (Jeanette) of McCool, MS and a daughter, Janice Fowler McGarity (Jimmy) of Kosciusko, MS; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren; a sister, Sara Brunt (Wilbur) of McCool, MS, and a brother, Bobby Black (Myrtle) of McCool, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of Plainview Assisted Living Center and St. Joseph Hospice Ministries of Clinton, MS.
