William Earl Young

William Earl Young, 89, of Hoover, AL passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Family visitation 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Jordan Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Parkway Cemetery with Rev. Barry Corbett to officiate. Mr. William Young was born on July 14, 1932 in Kosciusko, Mississippi to Jack Bailey Young and Myrtle Biggs Young. He received his engineering degree from Mississippi State University. He was a civil engineer with the Steel Industry. William was a member of Riverchase United Methodist Church of Hoover, AL, U.S. Army Military Police Corps, and Birmingham Bassmasters. William is survived by his wife, Dollie Boswell Young of Hoover, AL; son, William Earl (Daphne) Young, Jr.; daughter, Kathryn Young (Wayne) George; sister, Lola Young Rice; grandchildren, Robert William (Nikki) George, William Earl Young, III (fiancée Maddiee Mosley), and John Harmon Young; great-grandchildren, Harmon Everett George, and Genevieve Aubrie Young. He was preceded in death by parents, Jack Bailey and Myrtle Biggs Young and sister Joyce Young McBride.
