Leita Meredith Thomas Brown

Brown, Leita Meredith Thomas: 105 years old. August 26, 1911 - November 11, 2016. Born in Kosciusko, Mississippi where a hard life was rewarded with much joy and happiness. Along with her seven sisters and three brothers she enjoyed the blessings that a large and loving family bring. These memories stayed with her for the rest of her life. Like so many others she left the rural South after World War II. Settling with her husband in Mobile, Alabama where she raised two sons and four grandchildren. She will now be making that last trip home to Mississippi. The funeral service will be at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi at 11:30 A.M. on November 19, 2016. She will lay to rest alongside her husband, B.K. Brown at the Baptist Cemetery in Thomastown, Mississippi.
