Jerry B Ray

Jerry B. Ray, 72, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Monday, February 4 at Carson Ridge Baptist Church, near Ethel, MS. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Monday at Carson Ridge Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Lynn Cain will officiate. Mr. Ray was of the Baptist faith and attended the Carson Ridge Baptist Church. He was retired from the Pipeline where he worked all over the United States for years. Survivors include, One brother, Larry E. Ray, and his wife Deborah of Ethel, MS,; One sister, Judy Pee, and her husband Larry of Ethel, MS.; One niece, Holly Ray of Ethel, MS.; Aunts, Frances Adcock, Margie O'Briant of Ethel, MS, and Mary Ellen Burns of Big Creek, MS., and a host of cousins. Mr. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Garvin Blanton Ray and Lavis Lorene Graham Ray, and one son, Shane Ray. Those serving as pallbearers will be Larry Pee, Billy Rousaville, Grady Graham, William Branning, Ricky Vowell, Barry Vowell, and Pat Adcock. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marvin Lynn Graham and Ronnie Bain. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Carson Ridge Baptist Church.
