Edward O'Neal Threet, 90, died Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the Martha Jo Leslie Veteran Home in Kosciusko. Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Parkway Cemetery. Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Rev. Barry Corbett will officiate. He was born November 25, 1924 to Bartley Gilroy (Dock) and Willie Inez Threet in Merigold, MS. He was a WWII and Korean War Veteran. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army from 1946 to 1954. He was united in marriage to Kiyoko "Kay" Minagawa on October 25, 1949 in Japan. He had a career in construction as a mechanic. He enjoyed working on his farm and raising cattle. Survivors include his wife, Kay; children, Jimmy (Debbie) Threet and Barbara (Larry) King; grandchildren, Allison (Grant) Bell, Natalie (Shane) Ivey, Lauren (Chivas) Thompson, Jennifer Rider, Jason Spears, and Emily Duncan; twelve great-grandchildren; and sisters, Willa Dean Pee and Lena Howard. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Roy and Horace Threet; sisters, Syble Taylor and Margaret Philyaw.
