Bessie Virginia Gregory Burroughs

Virginia Burroughs Brandon, MS Bessie Virginia Gregory Burroughs, 88, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Brandon Nursing Home. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13 and 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Methodist Cemetery near Louisville. Rev. Linda Smith will officiate. She was of the Baptist faith. The family would like to thank the staff of Brandon Rehab and Nursing and Gentiva Hospice for their loving care. Survivors include her son, Charles Pettit and his wife, Ann from Florence, MS; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Burroughs; two daughters, Evelyn Pettit and Sherri Power; and parents, Jack and Verna Gregory.
